History
My father, Brenton H. Artz,
started his career out in HVAC working for the restaurant chain
called White Tower, in Massachusetts. He took care of all their
HVAC, and refrigeration. The company expanded to Connecticut where
he continued to work for them. Over time, the company went out
of business and in 1959 he formed his own company called Maintenance
& Refrigeration.
He started his company with
one service truck and proceed to make a name for himself as a
family owned and operated business in the State of Connecticut;
along with my seven brothers and one sister, we would help my
father and therefore we learned the trade as well. Out of eight
siblings, five are still in the trade today.
My father would fix anything
from a toaster oven to biggest HVAC roof top units of that time,
which brings us to the next generation, where, I Gerald M. Artz,
in 1989, took over the company as president and CEO that is now
known as M&R Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration. Along with
my two brothers Carl and Anthony, we continue to carry on the
services and traditions throughout the State of Connecticut, that
my father would be proud of knowing that his company is still
going strong. We continue to be a family owned and operated business
providing the same quality and commitment that my father gave
24 hours a day, 365 days a year of his life.
In closing, I would like to
say, it gives me a great satisfaction to continue the level of
service that we have been providing Connecticut since 1959.
Thank you, for allowing us
to service you.
Sincerely,

Gerald M. Artz
President & CEO
